How do Sentara Employees Celebrate Our Top ranking? Why We Dance, Dance, Dance

With a second consecutive year as the number one integrated healthcare system in the country, we’ve taken a unique approach to spreading the news. We’ve created an original music video featuring many of the employees who have contributed to our success.

It took a little convincing for some, but in the end most employees couldn’t resist the call to grove with the music.  The resulting video represents employees from across the system – all of whom play an important role in our recognition as the Top Integrated Healthcare System two years running.

Sentara is the only health system in the country to be ranked in the top 10 all 14 years the survey has been conducted.  We’ve landed in the top spot three times (2001, 2010 & 2011).

As an integrated healthcare system, Sentara provides services that cover in and outpatient healthcare services, including physician practices, advanced imaging and diagnostics, long term care, home healthcare services, medical transport and air ambulance services, as well as a 430,000 member health plan, Optima Health.
