Big Celebration of New Roanoke Office
Optima Health achieved a significant milestone in its 28 year history when it opened a new office in Roanoke, Virginia in late January. They celebrated with an open house, showing off its new office space and expansion into the Roanoke & New River Valley communities.

Brokers, neighbors, local politicians, business leaders, chambers, the media and Optima Health leadership were on hand to enjoy music, food and fellowship. The Roanoke community has been very welcoming and the company is confident that they‘ll have great success in this market. The community is very excited to have more health insurance choices.
New employees are being hired in sales, health and prevention, and Medicaid outreach. By year end, the health plan anticipates upwards of 9-10 people working out of this office.
The office is in the heart of downtown Roanoke in the iconic Dr. Pepper building that has a huge Dr. Pepper sign on top.
Optima Health has been selling Commercial plans since October 2011, Individual plans and Medicaid since January 2012. To date they have 100Commercial clients with 2,000 members, 5,500 Medicaid members and 10 Individual members.
